Further to our previous notice, the International Longshoremen Association (ILA) and United States Maritime Alliance Ltd have agreed to a tentative deal on wages and have extended their existing contract through January 15th, 2025, to provide time to negotiate a new contract. The ILA is to resume work immediately.

Vessels anchored off the East and Gulf Coasts increased to 54 on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, and another 64 vessels are expected to arrive by the end of this week. It is expected that for every 1 day of the ILA strike, it will take 5 days to clear the backlog of vessels and containers.

Carriers have announced additional surcharges such as congestion, port disruption and
emergency operational fees beginning mid-October.

Branson will continue to monitor the situation. Pertinent information will be provided as it is made available.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Branson International Inc.
